Kepong - Restaurant Damansara Hokkien Mee
Damansara Hokkien Mee main shop located at Damansara Uptown and very popular with their signature Hokkien Mee. This is their branch at Kepong and unfortunately they fail to deliver a good quality Hokkien Mee in this outlet. The whole meal; 2 single portion plus 2 herbal tea cost us RM17.40. Not so sure the single dish price cause they don't even have a proper receipt. Roughly RM7.00-7.50 per plate (Single).

Kepong - MIZI Shabu Shabu
I can't remember when is the last time I visit this MIZI Shabu shabu. Since now have so many choices of Shabu shabu buffet, I stop dine here. But lately the quality of shabu shabu buffet restaurant really drop, so I decided to revisit this restaurant for better quality food. I just have a "GRAND and COSTLY" shabu shabu dinner at Plus One Shabu shabu at One Utama Shopping Center that I feel just so so only. So after dine here my conclusions is why I need to paid more when I can get a better one just near my house!!!

SS2 - Restoran Ipoh Sedap 食好料
I passby this place quite often and always saw it full house. So why don't just give it a try. Just like its Restaurant name, here serve dish from Ipoh. The open kitchen is place on the main entrance so once you step in you will greet by their assorted Yong Tau Foo display. I not in the mood to eat Yong Tau Foo even I can see every table also order it. Must be very popular here. The menu also have limited choice, so I end up with just a bowl of Ipoh Hor Hee.

One Utama - Plus One Shabu Shabu
Still craving for steamboat even under this hot weather? Then you can choose to dine at those air-conditioning restaurant and have to paid a little bit more for it. And this time, our target will be Plus One Shabu shabu at One Utama. The Hong Kong-style and with the one pot per person concept. Personally I enjoy the this type of serving, more hygiene. Besides that, you can choose the broth type you want without need to discuss with other.

Kepong - HonKee Porridge
I didn't have a good dining experience at HonKee when I first visiting the Damansara Uptown HQ. So after that, I stop patrolling this restaurant until last Saturday Hilary ask me to eat here. I cannot everyday also make decission, once a while must let her choose where to eat :-p
To my surprise the food serve here is very good compare to the Damansara Uptown HQ. I order the Claypot Ginger Pork Belly with Porridge. Very tempting and flavourful. The pork belly is crunchy and fresh. Just a little bit salty but go well with the plain porridge. I lost the receipt so cannot remember the price. Roughly around RM13++.
Ginger Pork Belly (Comes with 1 plain porridge)
Price : +/-RM13.00
Rating : 4/5

Paramount Garden - Ribs King 排骨皇
Ribs King 排骨皇 is a newly added Restaurant at Paramount Garden, PJ. Not sure when it open, but think should be less than 1 year. Normally I didn't put too much hope on the food quality and nice price on this type of modern design and fully air-conditioned restaurant. I just need something fast and no need soaked in sweat in this super hot weather. BUT..to my surprise, the food serve here is actually good and in an affordable price. The food also serve very fast and the place also quite crowded. Almost full house even before 1pm.

Cari-cari Makan @ Southern Malaysia - Day 3 • Nanyang Kopitiam, Tangkak
We stop at Tangkak for breakfast before head back to KL. Tangkak is famous with their beef noodle, but since we don't eat beef I also not sure what is their other signature food. I saw quite a lot of Nanyang Kopitiam at Johor, so just eat here. This is similar to Old Town Kopitiam, but I not sure they got any branch at Klang Valley or not. The food serve here also very normal and taste so so.
Cari-cari Makan @ Southern Malaysia - Day 2 • Goh Zha Lang Taiwanese Porridge, JB
When my brother said bring us to supper - EAT Taiwanese Porridge, feel so excited. Never try before. Then have to persuade the rest to go cause my sister don't like porridge. Lucky at the end, we still manage to eat here; Goh Zang Lang (Hokkien Goh Zha Lang, mean OLD TIME PEOPLE). I ♥ the creative name HAHA. This is an air-conditioner restaurant. Located in the busy eating area at Taman Sentosa.
Cari-cari Makan @ Southern Malaysia - Day 2 • You Kee XO Trading
You Kee XO Trading is also recommend by Johor Kaki (here). You Kee is famous with their herbal soup and roast meat. The herbal soup is brewed inside 2 giant pot. Too bad, they don't allow me to open and shoot photo.
Cari-cari Makan @ Southern Malaysia - Day 2 • Leng Jie Soya Bean
After the brunch at Desaru, we back to JB and my brother bring us to Sutera Mall for shopping. After some carzy shopping, we stop at the Leng Jie Soya Bean to refresh a bit. This is not an ordinarily Soya Bean restaurant because beside the traditional soya dish, they also serve Flavour Cold Soya Beancurd. Its comes with comes in 5 flavours: Original, Almond,Mango, Strawberry and Corn.

Cari-cari Makan @ Southern Malaysia - Day 2 • Restoran Makanan Laut Yoou Kee, Desaru
This is the 3rd time I go to Desaru eat Lobster. 1st time I totally black-out, cannot remember anything. 2nd time is about half year ago, we dine at Jade Crystal but reach they quite late and everything also finish already!! This time we go a little bit early, at first thought to back to Jade Crystal but they don't have Baby Lobster, that one need to book, so we end-up go to next restaurant because we really want to eat baby lobster.
Cari-cari Makan @ Southern Malaysia - Day 1 • Restoran Shui Sean, JB
Dinner we go to eat Catfish or Ikan Keli. I found this from Johor Kaki Blog (here). Look so delicious, and YESS its really delicious!! The signature food claypot catfish is braised with special spicy sauce and have a little bit of wine taste. The catfish is fresh and meaty. The piping hot claypot catfish really tempting and the flavourful garvy go very well with the steam rice.
Claypot Catfish
Price : 25.00
Rating : 5/5
Cari-cari Makan @ Southern Malaysia - Day 1 • Bebola Ikan Anthony, Yong Peng
After 2 hours driving, we stop at Yong Peng for some brunch. Yong Peng (永平) is a regional town in the state of Johor and has two main interchanges on North-South Expressway including north to Kuala Lumpur and south to Johor Bahru. Slightly more than half of the local residents are of Chinese Fuzhou (福州) origin. This will automatically influence the style cuisine at Yong Peng. Fuzhou fish ball and Saito Fish Ball are very popular in this small town.

One Utama - Korean No. 1 BBQ Chicken
BBQ Chicken originated from Korea. This is Korea's No.1 Chicken Restaurant and have their Franchise Company in Malaysia. Quite a lot of outlet open when the BBQ Chicken is firstly introduce to Malaysia many years ago, but now most of it is closed. Not really sure the main reason, but I like their food, just the chicken is a little bit too "TINY".
BBQ Chicken use only 100% Extra Virgin Olive Oil and consider more healthy.
I visit the One Utama outlet few days ago because I really MISS their signature Chicken Hot Hot Drum. The drumstick is marinated in a hot and spicy sauce and fried till the skin is crispy. Really like this very much. The set comes with 2 drumstick, Coleslaw and a choice of either Fried Rice or French Fries or Mashed Potato.
