Kepong - Good Chen 多啦A梦 Mooncake @ Bisgood

Mooncake Festival just few day ahead so I think I better post this first.

When come to Mooncake 月饼, what are you looking at? Brand? Taste? Presentation? or Price? I seldom buy mooncake. So far I more attract to the beautiful packaging than the mooncake itself.  I even go to apply job at a Mooncake manufacturer to do the packaging design but get rejected hahah. I not really fancy any traditional biscuit, or can said I don't eat too many junk food :-p. So what make me suddenly go to buy a box of mooncake? Of course because of him; Doraemon  多啦A梦.

Tim Ho Wan (添好運點心專門店) restaurant in Hong Kong is a Michelin Award Winner that serve affordable and high quality dim sum. It first opened in Mong Kok, then spawned a second branch in Sham Shui Po, and follow by other places. I decided to patrolling the Shan Shui Po branch too avoid the overload at the more popular shop at Mongkok.

Cari-cari Makan Trip-Macau+Hong Kong Day 5 (FINAL)

Today we will walk a little bit far for breakfast since we don't have any tight itineray. I want to try the famous Tim Ho Wan-the Dim-Sum Specialists (添好運點心專門店) at Fuk Wing Street, Sham Shui Po. Tim Ho Wan main shop at Mongkok and quite near to our hotel but it is small and crowded so I rather walk a little bit far. Still crowded and we need to wait for a while.

And this Hing Kee 興記煲仔飯 can been see everywhere in the street. I think it got more than 4 shops in the same area. Our early plan is to eat at Four Season (Next Door) but long Q so see Hing Kee got table just dine here since all of us also very hungry.

Hong Kong - The Lamma Mandarin Seafood Restaurant 世外桃源海鮮酒家

The Lamma Mandarin Seafood restaurant 世外桃源海鮮酒家 is just next to the famous Rainbow Seafood at Lamma Island. At first I plan to dine at Rainbow but look like it is so expensive. So we end up settle our lunch here. Honestly a little bit worry will get "kill" but since the set meal menu is display on the entrance we decided will give it a try.

Cari-cari Makan Trip-Macau+Hong Kong Day 4

As a die hard fan for Hong Kong TVB drama since small, I always see they go Lamma Island 南丫島. This island not a tourist place. It is visited by the local. The main activity here is eat seafood, mountain hiking and swim on the beach. So we only just eat seafood here.

Cari-cari Makan Trip-Macau+Hong Kong Day 1 Part 2

After some walk at Taipa Street we decided go to The Venetian Macau Casino. At first we think to take bus to there but Macau only use Chinese and Portugal Language and we are unable to find the hotel in the bus route list. So no choice, we had to take cab.

Macau - TAK Hoi Sing Mei Sek

Honestly I not so sure what is this restaurant name so temporary put this first HAHA. Located near to our hotel at Beijing Road, here serve Hot Pork Bone Soup. The lady claim they have 20 years experience in preparing this dish.

Macau - Lord Stow's Bakery, The Grand Canal Shoppes

Lord Stow’s Portuguese Egg Tart is A MUST TRY once you visiting Macau. Once you step in the beautiful restaurant you can smell great aroma of freshly baked egg tarts together with other breads.

Macau - Gelatina Mok Yi Kei

This shop got very good review when I search online so I also put it under the MUST TRY list. Located at the famous Taipa Souvenir Street, the Lady Boss is very friendly. Gelatina Mok Yi Kei is famous for its durian ice cream and sawdust pudding. But we only interested with their bird nest ice cream. YES we ate bird nest again HAHA

Macau - San Hou Lei Bakery Cafe (新好利咖啡饼店)

First thing to do is find what can eat and first shop we saw is San Hou Lei Bakery Cafe (新好利咖啡饼店). Here served old time tea time snacks like buns and tarts. The Bird Nest Tart is a MUST TRY inside my list.

Hong Kong - Super HKIA Terminal 1 Canteen

Once we reach HKIA and before the time to depart to Macau, we come to have some brunch at this Super HKIA Terminal 1 Canteen. In fact this is the only restaurant at this area. The meal didn't look interesting so we just order the set meal for sharing.

Air Asia - Air Asia.Cafe

The worst part with Air Asia is no meal provided. So you need to purchase the food from their Air Asia.Cafe. They got more choices of food now, so during our trip to Hong Kong we do pre-order the meal so we still can have something to eat during the 3 hours 50 minutes journey.

Cari-cari Makan Trip-Macau+Hong Kong Day 1 Part 1

We had purchased Air Asia Ticket to Hong Kong since last year that cost us RM515++ per person.  Then I had search online and prepare a itinerary to make the trip more easy. The flight will depart on 7+am so early early 4am I already start my journey to LCCT. As what everybody will do, after check-in the luggage we have the early breakfast at Old Town.

Medan Putra Kepong - De Pastry Chef

De Pastry Chef started only the cakes and pastries business, now they do provide an extensive menu, from Asian to Western, such as rice, noodles, pasta and etc. The first time I patrolling De Pastry is during their new opening many year back. But the second visit I feel surprise to see the unkempt restaurant! The worn-out furniture and display rack even make me lost appertise to their cakes and pastries.

LIVING SOCIAL COUPON - RM20 Cash Voucher at only RM10 @ Simple Life, SSTwo Mall (AGAIN)

Earlier I had bought 5 vouchers that worth RM100 with only RM50 from Living Social. I used 2 during one of my lunch break with my colleague (here) and the balance of the voucher I use for some food feast during Merdeka Holiday.

Paradigm Mall - Pancake House International

Have some light breakfast before movie. Maybe it is too early in the morning, the waitress is so lazy to serve us. Pancake House International claim they using only premium flour, the creamiest butter and farm fresh milk and eggs, assures the fluffiest, melt-in-your-mouth pancakes, BUT they forgot to use fresh fruit for their pancakes!!!
